Edmonton Kitchen Craft Retail Store Experience: 20 yrs
I am proud to say that I have been with Kitchen Craft for 20 years & going strong. Over the course of those years I have had the opportunity to understand, learn, work & grow in different facets of the company. This prepared me and led me to my career as a Kitchen Designer.
There is a lot to be said with asking a few questions to try to gain an understanding with the client. A question I ask is “How do you want to feel in your kitchen?” Let it be entertaining, cooking & eating even relaxing, there is always an underlying feeling. Feelings are in general hard to pull from anyone, so it is a question that most have to think of their response but I feel is very important for the customer to answer which in turn helps me design a space that evokes that feeling.
My most favorite part of the design process is when the customer can see and understand my vision for their project. I enjoy working with customers and the aspect of watching their kitchen, as though it were a piece of art unfold in someone’s home. Customers will look at and be immersed in that kitchen every day with family & friends. Hearing and seeing their happiness is what makes me proud of having the opportunity to be a part of their creation!
