From a young age, my love for home decorating and fashion inspired me to pursue a degree in Fashion Technology. This passion led me to Rona Home and Garden, where I began my career designing kitchens and custom kitchen cabinets, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.

About Gary
Design that feels natural—where form and function work in unison
I started in the cabinetry world in 2014, and I’ve been hands on with kitchen renovations and bath projects ever since. Before that, I spent five years working with a contractor, which taught me the buildside realities that make great designs possible. From 2014–2019, I served as a Field Service Representative, gaining practical field and installation knowledge that I bring to every project.
In 2020, I moved into design and sales, combining technical knowhow with a passion for helping homeowners create spaces they love. I’m drawn to interesting, unique spaces—the kinds of rooms that invite problem solving to develop fresh kitchen remodel ideas and bathroom renovation ideas. Whether it’s maximizing kitchen storage in a compact layout or making a bathroom look both beautiful and functional, I love the challenge. In nature symmetry is rare and often man-made; my design eye gravitates to the 3–5–7 rule, asymmetry, and elements of Japanese design that create a visually harmonious and natural feel.
Most importantly, I love talking with homeowners to understand their hopes and priorities, then guiding them to choices that fit their lifestyle and budget.

I’m a proud graduate of the Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology program at Red River College, where my passion for woodworking naturally led me to a career in kitchen design.
When I begin a new project, I always imagine how I would use the kitchen myself. This perspective helps me share practical kitchen remodel ideas and insights about layout, kitchen storage, and organization, allowing me to tailor each design to fit my client’s unique needs. Whether it’s a kitchen or exploring bathroom renovation ideas, my goal is to ensure every customer ends up with a functional space they truly enjoy.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve been obsessed with creating spaces that feel like home. While other children played with dollhouses, I grabbed a pencil and paper and started sketching my own dream layouts—without even realizing I was already space planning! That early passion led me to earn my Bachelor of Interior Design at the University of Manitoba, and I’ve been designing kitchens and baths ever since.
With several years of experience in kitchen renovations and bathroom projects, I know that the secret to great design is listening. I began my career at Kitchen Craft working in our manufacturing facility, where I gained invaluable knowledge and experience that prepared me for my current role as Sales and Design Manager of the Kitchen Craft Showroom. I truly love the culture and the people who make this place so special—my team is, without a doubt, my favorite part of the job.
Although designing isn’t part of my daily responsibilities anymore, I’ve always believed in full collaboration with clients.
