Ever since we introduced PureStyle™ cabinet doors back in 2019, they have proven to be one of the most popular choices for Kitchen Craft customers.
There are many reasons for this, and today we’re going to share a few of those with you. Let’s begin with our on-trend door styles available in PureStyle.
Trending Door Styles Presented in a Whole New Way
PureStyle is currently available on two very trendy shaker door styles, Henley and Malton. We like to refer to these as “Sister Doors”, because they offer so many common features:
- They both feature mitered construction that gives the authentic look and durability of a real wood door
- Both also have ¼” recessed centre panels
- They include a mitered drawer front, plus the option of a slab drawer front as well
The key difference between Henley and Malton is in the width of the rails and stiles (the ‘frame’ of the door). Henley features a 2” wide rail and stile, while Malton is slightly wider at 2 5/8” wide.
Finishing…The PureStyle Way!
Our PureStyle cabinet doors are available in both smooth satin and textured woodgrain laminate finishes, as shown above.
There are a total of six different PureStyle finish options available on both the Henley and Malton styles. The 2 solid colours, Satin White and Satin Sleet are intended to look like a painted finish.
Then, the 4 Textured Woodgrain finishes give these same two door styles an authentic ‘real wood’ grain direction, look and also a textural feel.
Bringing The PureStyle Cabinet Look ‘Together’
As we get into the heart of their construction, these PureStyle cabinet doors are a 5-piece construction featuring strong and durable mortise & tenon joinery.
The lineals and core panel material are individually wrapped in a resilient laminate material before the door is built. Once assembled, the result is a quality product that provides a surface that is abrasion resistant to dents and scratches.
The combination of precisely wrapped stile and rail stock, combined with our carefully monitored miter machining and assembly process produces joints of exceptional quality.
Stile and rail Profiles are manufactured using a premium grade of fiberboard. The material is profiled to tight tolerances, and then “wrapped” with our PureStyle laminate using precision Profile Wrapping Machines.
The Best Thing About PureStyle…The Price!
As you may know, many of our door styles are available in more than one species or material. Knowing this allows you to move from one material to another, adjusting the price you pay for your cabinets, while still maintaining your desired look.
For example, both the Malton and Henley doors are available in Satin White and Satin Sleet, which give you the look and feel of a painted Maple door, but at a lower price point.
In the same way, the four textured woodgrain finishes in PureStyle offer you the look and feel of real wood doors for much less cost as well.
